Mountain Retreat - Jamaica, Vermont
Mounding perennials and shrubs - Lady's Mantle, Spirea, Black-eyed Susans, and Catmint - were planted to mimick the forms of the mountains beyond. They play with the boundaries of the terrace edge, drawing the distant view into the garden space.
