Irene Flooding Landscape Repair

Drainage and Benches

Weston Playhouse - Weston, Vermont

Ten months after the water systems were set in place Tropical Storm Irene eroded the landscape behind the Weston Playhouse and flooded its basement. We worked again on the property excavating the foundation along the river, water sealing and insulating the foundation, and then providing drainage and drip-edge material.

The tail race of the old mill wheel at Weston Mill Museum was also buried under several feet of sand washed downriver. We carefully excavated the sand and returned the tail race to pre-Irene conditions.

In conclusion stone benches that were tossed around during the flood were relocated and reset.
